All the DC power in the world won't do the average household in America much good since we use AC power in the house, although some people do run DC appliances in their houses.
Carrying around my 62 pound batteries to power a flashlight or tape recorder just doesn't make much sense.
Converting the DC stored power to AC voltage is the job of the inverter.
This inverter from Exeltech actually creates AC power that is cleaner (fewer power distortions) than your local utility company distributes to you.
It takes the DC power from the batteries, uses advanced "space age" technology to create the cleanest AC power you have ever seen!
Hey, the server for this site is using that power right now, and if that doesn't impress you then maybe you should know that I'm a computer professional that won't connect any system to power unless it's through a UPS!
Rather than put this system on a UPS I would much rather connect it to our solar powered system!
Why would I connect my system to an inefficient UPS, when I can use an inverter powered by the unending power of the sun?
